COMPLIANCE THE COMPANY'S OPERATIONS WITH THE NEW OBLIGATIONS AND DEADLINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ARCHIVAL DOCUMENTATION

The Law on Archival Material and Services is in force ("Official Gazette of RS", No. 6/2020) ("Law").

The business of economic entities generates a variety of documentary material. Due to the importance of its content, part of that material has the status of archival material which, as a cultural good of general interest, must be permanently preserved. Special laws define which documents are kept and what are the deadlines for storage.

  • If you have not already engaged a legal entity that deals with archival activities and / or performs activities related to "archival material" for your company, please keep in mind that you are obliged to bring and / or do:
  1. General act on the manner of recording, classification, archiving and storage of archival material and documentary material;
  2. General act on the manner of recording, protection, and use of electronic documents.
  3. Decision on appointment of a responsible expert for the protection of archival material and documentary material and handling of archival material and documentary material;
  4. List of categories of archival material and documentary material kept by the Legal Entity with retention periods. ("List of categories of archival material and documentary material")
  5. Book of archives
  6. and to undertake all other actions provided by law.
  • NOTE: The deadline for submitting the book of archives for legal entities under the supervision of the Historical Archive of Belgrade has been moved further due to the existing epidemiological situation and will not be taken as the deadline on April 30, but you must fulfill the legal obligation by the end of 2021.

  • If you do not have an engaged legal entity that deals with archival activities, we will be happy to help you in the timely application of regulations, in order to avoid possible fines that range from 50,000 RSD to 2,000,000 RSD.

With respect,
